Building a House of Prayer pt6

Isaiah 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. (KJV)
The Power of Prayer
Spontaneous  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Powerful  2 Corinthians 10:4-6
Intersession  Romans 8:26-27
Righteously  Titus 3:5-7
Inspiring  1 Samuel 10:10
Togetherness  Colossians 3:8-15

We are our brother’s keeper. As Christians we have a responsibility to each other. Our task is to uphold the faith and encourage everyone to stay on the path leading heavenward. When we are troubled, discouraged or suffering, we pray for each other. If we have reason to celebrate we share our joy. Prayer offered in faith will yield results. We even have the ability to restore those who have chosen to set off the path of righteousness. Offering compassion, love and mercy to those struggling foster forgiveness and allows everyone to experience the grace of God. If we desire to see the real, unfailing, power of God in prayer we must embrace the Holy Spirit. (see James 5:13-20)

Prayer filled with power is Spontaneous. Scripture tells us to “Always be ready to give an answer to anyone for the hope within us.” We are challenged to “Pray non-stop, rejoice always, and give thanks for everything without worry.” God has a plan and it is revealed to us in prayer. The power of prayer is SPIRIT. The Holy Spirit work through those who yield to Him. Fan the spark into a roaring flame. Be spontaneous respond to God in prayer. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The greatest weapon we have been given is prayer. The sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith defend us as we use them, but prayer in the Spirit provides us the long-range battle plan. It pulls down enemy strongholds, and allows us to discern the needs of our brothers and sisters in the battle. The Holy Spirit is powerful. He will lead us in prayer. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Spontaneous, Powerful, Intersession, Righteously, Inspiring, Togetherness: According to scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us to pray even when we do not know the specific needs. Often He makes intersession through us with groans and thoughts that cannot be spoken. Praying for others in the power of the Holy Spirit brings God’s will into our intersession. (Romans 8:26-27)

The house of prayer God has built is a place where everyone can meet Him in His fullness. There we can experience grace not because of our righteousness, but because God is HOLY. There we can be transformed. Everything He does is done righteously. (Titus 3:5-7)

Nothing is more inspiring and unifying than the Holy Spirit. God freely offers this gift of the Holy Spirit to ALL. He is calling us into togetherness. Allow God to use you. Become a house of prayer. (1 Samuel 10:10 & Colossians 3:8-15)
